# Hmm. The X performance on my 4/330 is about the same as a 486-66 (the
# processor is slightly slower, the whole machine somewhat faster). Running
# X on a Sparc 4 is very nice (fast), but then I don't have a faster i386 to
# compare against. Anyway the Sparc hardware is just so much nicer!
#

I have a 486-66 running 800x600. Raw video (getting input from my oc'd P-150)
is decent. The Sparc 1 running at 1152x900 (cg6) blows it away.. I was
expecting 486-33 performance (even with a nice video card it just drives me
nutz, windows slowly appear, etc)

The P-150 is fast.. but 90% of that is processor speed. The sun is decieving,
because the console mode is so !@#$ slow to scroll.. I thought I was going to
die waiting for it. I assumed X would be the same.. it is by far faster than
the 486-66.. and really isn't that far off the P-150.

I'm going to run some xbenches on it, I can post them if anyone wants
(comparing them to the 66 and the 150)
