	Thank you  for the reply Manuel.  I didn't realize that the sd driver
would check disk logical partition boundaries if you were using partitions
other than the raw partition.  Since I'm using the raw partition, I guess
I'm running without that safety net.  The partition is refilling with news
now, so we'll see if it recurrs.  If it does, I'll get scsiverbose to tell
me what it's seeing.
