If you happen to want a truly headless machine and don't define
a kbd driver, you get:

ld -N -p -Ttext F0004000 -e start -S -o netbsd ${SYSTEM_OBJ} vers.o
clock.o: Undefined symbol `_rom_console_input' referenced from text segment
clock.o: Undefined symbol `_rom_console_input' referenced from text segment
clock.o: Undefined symbol `_cnrom' referenced from text segment
intr.o: Undefined symbol `_rom_console_input' referenced from text segment
intr.o: Undefined symbol `_rom_console_input' referenced from text segment
intr.o: Undefined symbol `_cnrom' referenced from text segment

I have the trivial fixes for this, but is this worth fixing?
