Probably you can't get them on a 4m machine, but you can get a
separate card for your sparc with the thing.  We had the drivers for
HME way before we even started the Ultra port (which as of today ran
for the first time /bin/sh on the full 64-bit port of the kernel).

All of the Linux-ISS patches were done on a SS10 with an HME card.
Cute card, it does hardware checksuming for ip and tcp.

I believe the HME documentation are available from the people that
designed the thing.  Check the docs directoy in vger.rutgers.edu in
the Linux/SPARC directory, we have a postcript there.
