I believe your are hitting a snag when the system tries to initialize the
SCSI swap space.  This is caused by a problem with the early version ESP
SCSI chips that you find in Sparc 1+s.  The problem has been fixed just
after 1.2.1 came out.  If you have an LED on your SCSI drive, can you
check to see if it stays constantly lit when you reach this hang point?
That's the authorative symptom.
