Hello!

As subject says, I have a few problems with -current (as of March 24th
or slightly earlier) - though the kernel that came on the Sun4c
miniroot showed some of the same problems:

I have been using a ZIP drive to boot the sparc, and while I did
manage to get my system going with it I encountered a problem. Every
time I try to copy a large file _from_ the drive I get the following:
(or something to the same effect)

esp0: RESELECT: 7 bytes in FIFO!
sd1(esp0:6:0): unit attention, data = 00 66 01 04 ab 00 40 00 ... 00
esp0: RESELECT: 8 bytes in FIFO!

the messages are repeated a few times. The drive is then unusable
until I umount it and the mount it again. (I have the entire disk
(c-partition) as one ffs filesystem.

This also happens if the drive is mounted read-only, so I think the
drive is sending data too fast to the sparc... has anyone seen similar
behaviour?

The drive itself, when connected to my -current Amiga (25MHz '030)
works just fine, read and write (that's how I got the data onto the
drive in the first place)

On a totally unrelated note, why does X refuse to start, claiming that
my keyboard is unsupported? (Fatal server error: Unsupported keyboard
type -1)

I know the server works - I've used it on the same machine using a
different kernel some time ago (that kernel came from der Mouse)

Any help, info, etc. is greatly appreciated.

Joe.
