Ok, my SS10 is basically a wash. I can't get it to do networking, and I've
tried:

3 motherboards
2 different speeds of RAM (80ns and 60ns)
2 different sets of SCSI cabling
2 cases
2 processors (SM51 & SM61)
2 power supplies
2 installs of 1.2, one by me, one by my dealer.

All this and I still get DMA errors from the networking code. I see other
people are having problems with 10s, but am I the only soul who can't get
networking running? What works for you guys?

At this point I'm ready to give the 10 back and go with a different model.
What works for sure? I've read the www pages, I've talked to people, and
what I need to know is what are people using?

I mean, what's on your desk?

I'm considering going with a SS5, or a IPX or 2 w/ PowerUp. Suggestions?
Does the powerup even work? Is anybody _using_ it? Are there any known
problems with the SS5 that people are having?

The guy that I got the 10 from doesn't normally sell 5s, so if I got a 5
and it didn't work w/ NetBSD then I'd be SOL. Who has a 5 on their desk,
using it daily, and having no problems? Which is better: a 2 w/ powerup
or a 5?

Is it worth the extra money to go with a 2 instead of an IPX?

I want a machine I can stick under the table and use as a server. What are
my options? The 20 is not an option, and the 10 is a no-go. Suggestions?

I really appreciate the help that I've been getting from you guys, and I
hope soon to have a working machine so I can stop pestering. ;)
