I've only just joined the list, so forgive me if I'm covering old
ground. I've just finally got around to reinstalling my workstation,
SS20 (TI,TMS390Z55 @ 60 MHz, on-chip FPU) with 1.2-release.

I too am experencing random core dumps, especially when trying to
compile things. In fact the previous 20 I tried wouldn't even install
at all, the miniroot would just panic with IIRC an alignment fault just
after 'mainbus0 (root): SUNW,SPARCstation-20'.

My SS4 running 1.2-rel runs fine and very stable (I note that it boots
with 'cache NOT enabled').

Presumably this core dumping problem is known, but there's no fix yet?

Is there a way of disabling the cache perhaps, would that help?
