Hi all,

I'm running 1.2 on an IPC with 16Meg of Ram.

I'm getting messages in syslog that say
	sdX: not queued, error 5

	where X is 1 or 3

I've currently got 5 disks and a tape in the machine.

Here's the boot messages:

scsibus0 at esp0
sd1 at scsibus0 targ 0 lun 0: <SEAGATE, ST1480 SUN0424, 5826> SCSI2 0/direct fixed
sd1: 411MB, 1476 cyl, 9 head, 63 sec, 512 bytes/sec
sd2 at scsibus0 targ 1 lun 0: <QUANTUM, FIREBALL1080S, 1Q04> SCSI2 0/direct fixed
sd2: 1042MB, 3835 cyl, 4 head, 139 sec, 512 bytes/sec
sd3 at scsibus0 targ 2 lun 0: <CONNER, CFP1060S 1.05GB, 2035> SCSI2 0/direct fixed
sd3: 1013MB, 2756 cyl, 8 head, 94 sec, 512 bytes/sec
sd0 at scsibus0 targ 3 lun 0: <CONNER, CP30200 SUN0207, 4544> SCSI2 0/direct fixed
sd0: 203MB, 2123 cyl, 4 head, 49 sec, 512 bytes/sec
sd4 at scsibus0 targ 4 lun 0: <CONNER, CFP1080S, 4649> SCSI2 0/direct fixed
sd4: 1030MB, 3658 cyl, 6 head, 96 sec, 512 bytes/sec
st0 at scsibus0 targ 6 lun 0: <ARCHIVE, Python 28388-XXX, 5.40> SCSI2 1/sequential removable
st0: density code 0x13, 512-byte blocks, write-protected

sd0 is root, /usr, /var and swap
sd1 is /home
sd2, sd3 and sd4 are a ccd.

Everything is terminated properly and all works well upto a point. When I get
a lot of SCSI traffic happening I get errors like the 'not queued' error
above. And twice when I've been using the tape ( once was a read and the other
a write ) the machines has paniced.

Once I get the 'not queued' error I also get
	ccd0: error 5 on component 1
errors.

I'm running on a pretty much GENERIC kernel. I force SCSI ID 3 to map to
sd0.

If I run without the Quantum things seem to work properly, no messages
and no panics.

I think that my Quantum is a bit dodgy, has anyone else had any problems
with them? Note that compoenent 1 of the ccd IS NOT the quantum it's one of
the conners.

I'm lost for what to try now, do I assume that the drive is bad and try to get
it replaced?, or can I turn on some debugging to track down the problems?

thanks in advance
Gavin
