...the sun4c and sun4m boot programs are the same... Indeed, NetBSD/sparc
has a completely unified boot program now :-)

I'm guessing that it's cache lossaga that's causing this problem.  I'll
let Aaron or Paul comment further (since they're the real experts :-),
but that's my guess...

NetBSD/sparc has always had a unified kernel.  We're just better than
Sun in that regard, I guess :-)
