Yes, I see the exact same result on my IPX with the fast-console hack
(thanks to whoever posted that! I've made friends with that routine!).
If anyone has a solution to this problem, please let me know as well.

It seems to be triggered by the exit-curses-mode stuff that vi sends.

 * I've noticed a strange problem with removing RASTERCONSOLE from
 * a Sun4M (sparcstation 5) with a TGX (cg6) framebuffer on NetBSD 1.2.
 * Everything appears to work fine and the display is much faster, but when I
 * exit vi the screen becomes totally messed up. It's filled with bits and
 * pieces of "earlier" screens. Clearing the screen "fixes" the problem,
 * but it's annoying. I haven't noticed this problem with any other
 * program, just vi.
 *
 * Has anyone seen anything similar? Any solutions?
