   From the Solaris system administrator's guide...
"The System V file system traditionally provided with System V
releases is not included in the SunOS 5.x system software
because of significant restrictions, such as ... [usual stuff]"

   The Solaris ufs is essentially BSD ffs. Having said that, I
have not been able to cross-mount NetBSD and SunOS partitions on
my machine (SS5). This may be something to do with the low-level
mappings in the device driver.
