Well, if it is anything like the monitors and video on the SS20, to 
turn the monitor off you have to kill the horizontal and vertical
synch signals to the monitor. This has to be done by the video
adaptor in the pizzabox, and thus by the video driver. On the SS20,
I've figured out how to turn it off, but not back on :-)
I don't think NetBSD supports this yet, unless I'm missing something...
