Okay,

I have ordered the BSDisc from InfoMagic (over the web of course) and I
have ftp'ed the boot_fs and the micro-12_fs and used rawrite to create
two floppies. I am also going to get a CDROM drive for the SS2. I
think that will give me access to enough to build the system.

Now the problems:

PROBLEM: Although I know I have a SCSI drive in the machine, when
I do a probe-scsi from new command mode the result is a
pause, and then no information and another 'ok' prompt.
Shouldn't I see information on the SCSI drive?
PROBLEM: I tried to boot from the floppies. It seemed to work until
it tried to look at the floppy drive the message was:

fd0 at fdc0 drive 0: 1.44MB 80 cyl, 2 head, 18 sec
panic: rd_read_image: open: error 19
Stopped at	_Debugger+0x4: jmpl	[%o7 + 0x8], %g0
db>

What happened? What should I do?

thanks for the ongoing help and support,

-greg
