Yes, I too get the following with the eject floppy bug:

fdc: spurious interrupt: state 7, istate=3
fdc: spurious interrupt: state 7, istate=3

then the telnet session to the machine stops. The machines are headless, so I would
have to dig up a console to hook them up to. If it helps, I could do this. 

The audio crackles and skips right before and during the print of those two
messages. 

Let me know if you need more info, and I will see about the traceback on the
console.
