Well, you're missing an argument there, at least :-)

I usually just use:

	mount server:/path/to/server/dir /localdir

Works fine...

It could definitely be a server problem ... But, I (thankfully) haven't 
been forced to touch Solaris for a *LONG* time, so I can't help you with 
Solaris quirks...sorry :(

If it's at all re-assuring, my NetBSD 1.1B systems deal fine with SunOS, 
IRIX 4/5/6, and ConvexOS servers.
