Dear All,

I'm having problems with NetBSD -current on an SS1+. The machine seems to
crash/hang every now and then. I get no core dump and the system doesn't
even drop to the boot monitor (not even if I send a break to the serial
port (which I'm using for the console).

Last night, the lock-up occurred while un-tarring the 960323 sources (I had
several tar processes running simultaneously, reading over NFS and writing
to a local disk). The only way I could get the machine up again was a power-
cycle. (What is the SS1 watchdog supposed to do in situations like this?)

Another problem: I can't build libc. When I try to make in src/lib/libc,
I get that huge list of filenames and then signal 11. I have upgraded my
kernel to 960323 and would like to upgrade the libs and bins as well, but
it seems I can't. I already rebuilt sh and make, no help.

Any help greatly appreciated.
