   On the software front, there's been recent mumblings about DP, but the
   proposed solution (i.e., put STREAMS into NetBSD so porting DP becomes more
   or less a trivial thing) is probably some way off (I'd rather see a port of
   DP to the existing software architecture, at least for now, if possible).

Someone on current-users recently mentioned something called IIJ-PPP
(ftp://ftp.iij.ad.jp/pub/network/iij-ppp0.94beta2.tar.gz), which is supposed
to work with NetBSD, perhaps with a little fiddling.  It claims to support
dial-on-demand, but I haven't tried it.  It comes with a patched driver for
NetBSD-1.0 that may have to be updated for 1.1.
