You should be able to.  The propoerties of the card are available to the 
OpenPROM, which the NetBSD cgsix (and cgthree and bwtwo) driver queries 
to get the resolution of the display.  I haven't personally used the 
cgsix driver with resolutions other than 1152x900, but I have used the 
bwtwo with 1152x900 (on an IPC) and 1600x1280 (on a 4/260) and it works 
fine.
