If it's just Solaris, then it's inherent in SVR4 as well.

If you can do a reasonable implementation without the connect/disconnect
delays, I'd be glad to see it.

I, among others, would be more likely happier to see Mr. Karels respond
to our inquiries.


It would be nice if he didn't have time to work on it that he would at
least release some of his intentions and the code and let someone work
on it who _does_ have time.
