I have experienced the clock stop bug twice today. Besideds
heavy machine load, I can not isolate it yet. However, an interesting
new tidbit:

When the clock stopped this time, I didn't want to wait a long
time for it to reboot. So... I umount -f /u and umount -f /usr. Once
this was done, the clock started again. I am at a loss to explain
that... save that something in one of the disk systems was locking out
the clock interupt.

Given that information, maybe someone could quickly construct
an lkm to turn on the clock interupt while we try to locate what is
causing it.

Dave.
