I thought that I'd post here first, since a number of these
problems may just be related to the hardware.

First off, both ppp and slip seem to lock up after a certain
amount of intensive transfer (sup will cause it). Usually shortly
after the first overflow of zs0b (the port that I'm using). This is
all at 19200. At 9600, (I didn't try slip), pppd seems to run fine
for a long while. zs0b still overflows occaisionally... but the
transfer doesn't lock up.

Now... this is all on a Sun4/260. Is this just the nature of
the hardware, or do I have a hope of fixing it? I also have a line on
a 16 (or more) port serial board. Is there support for such boards in
NetBSD and is it possible that higher speeds work better on these
boards?

Sup is a pain at 9600, BTW, when there is so much to be regot.

On a related note, the machine eventually panic'd last night.
It seems pretty common for it to panic overnight when I leave a
compile running or a sup running. Does anyone have any ideas? I'd
like to make it do a dump, but I havn't figured out how yet.

On X, Xsun will run for awhile, but doesn't seem to like being
started from xinit. I havn't tracked it down yet... I'm not positive
that I've got xinit running properly.

Dave.
