Well, I'd imagine that you'd have to have a screen and framebuffer that 
can deal with it.

It looks that way ... I think most Sparcstations have a built-in bwtwo...

(Note NetBSD has an eeprom command now, too :-).  Basically, you set the 
eeprom to reflect what kind of hardware is on the system.  Doing 
otherwise could cause ... unexpected results, I'd imagine.
