hi,
in the past few hours i've not been able to run "vi" on my console,
as it get a panic:
text fault: pc=0 ser=80<INVAL>
panic: kernel fault
it's always the same panic everytime, and it always happens when i
run vi on the console. vi is *fine* if i boot x.
everyother program seems to be ok -- it's just vi that does this.
i don't know what has changed -- several week old kernels that i
distictly remember using vi on the console with are now failing.
i've tried a complete power cycle, and all my disks seem ok. can
anyone think of any possible causes ? :-(
