Yes, I've had this, too. There is a bad sector on your harddisk. You should
get some current kernel sources and recompile your kernel, it's fixed there.

Yes and no ... you can try reformatting the hard disk. Maybe the error will
go away then.

I've never seen this one ... maybe I wasn't patient enough ?

I haven't seen this one either.

There is some new SCSI code being tested, but it won't make it into the
distribution any time soon (I guess).
