seems to be impossible to make build from the extant tarballs of arch-sparc
to current. sh hangs permanento doing ./mknodes and is ungdb-able.

if this is "you dumb smurf, you should have upgraded before" then the tarballs
need to be newer. I lost 1.3gb of decdisk and had to re-create from scratch
so this is what I'd expect any other sparc-oid to see...

reboot doesn't clear this so its not just some trivial shared-lib botch,
and I can't make a kernel from the current off the tarballs prior to the
make build neither.
