Is there any description on how he did it? I do have a purely software way
to boot custom code on my European console right now, so I'm not desperate :)
But I'm of course very curious and interested.

Well, I have an european DC, Saitoh has most probably a Japanese one, if
you get an US one, that would be a good starting point for extensive
testing :)
C'mon, get one, those things are cheap, and when you get frustrated that
some part of the kernel doesn't want to work, you can always hit a few
people in SoulCalibur before going for more code ;-)
