Hello...
I've been trying to install NetBSD onto an O2 R5000, machine which was
recently given to me. I have printed out the installation manual, and in
spite of having read through it several times I am still unable to install
the OS. I can set the environment variables properly and everything seems to
go okay until I try to use the command;
>>
>> boot -f pci(0)scsi(0)cdrom(4)rdisk(0)partition(8)
>>
To which the system replies;
dks0d4s8: Volume Header not valid
Unable to execute pci(0)scsi(0)cdrom(4)rdisk(0)partition(8): media not
loaded.
Unable to load pci(0)scsi(0)cdrom(4)rdisk(0)partition(8): No recognisable
filesystem on device.
Now I'm realatively confident that it's telling me that I made my CD
incorrectly but since I'm terribly unfamiliar with the hardware I cannot be
certain.
Thanks in advance,
-Pete
