Well - I think this is because the official SGI-ISO Image of NetBSD is
+not+ bootable. It isn't, because CD-Images needs some special treatment
to be bootable on SGI, a standard iso-image won't do. Since this special
treatment is +not+ performed on the standard-generation-method used to
create the official ISO-image, you simply can't boot from it.

You need to create the whole image yourself, which is explained
somewhere in this mailing list - just search the archives.
