I'm running into problems with creating the root partition on my NFS
server.

  usage: mknod name [b | c] major minor [owner:group]
  usage: mknod name [b | c] major minor [owner:group]
  (etc etc)

The NFS server is a FreeBSD 4-STABLE box. I don't have any NetBSD boxes
capable of hosting NFS (the little DECStation gets most of it's meager
disk space via NFS from teh FreeBSD box).

Is there a way around this?
