When the machine freezes, try to send a console break.  If it drops to ddb,
please do a tr and/or a ps.

I've seen some odd behavior while compiling X on r5ksc that I'm starting to
think may be pmap related.  Then again, I didn't see this behavior before
gcc was updated to 3.3.2 ...

IRIX may have workarounds for the CD drive -- or perhaps your CDR media doesn't
smell good to your drive.  I've had no problems with either my r5k ip32 or my
r10k ip32.

It's interesting to note that it negotiates an odd synchronous transfer rate
(should be an even multiple of 5, but it's 4.36).  ISTR mycroft cleaning up the
quirk table and requesting that owners of a few Toshiba cdrom drives give him
feedback ...

I, for one, like being cc'd even though I'm on the list.  Due to the high
volume of NetBSD-related email, I've procmailed everything to port-* to a
separate folder -- but things cc'd to me hit my real inbox.
