Like Hendrik mentioned, they are all "compatable" in the Sun/SGI world.  So
connecting them in the fashion you mention should work fine without any
adapters.

As all the monitors are from the same manufacturer (Sony) they
are compatible.
The latest Sun monitors come with a PC style DB15 and a 13w3 connector
so I guess Sun/SGI/Sony uses the same mechanism for monitor type
detection as all the PeeCee equipment does (DDC).
