If you have a pre-built kernel, the INET6 option is not activated.
So rpcbind can't create IPV6 sockets, this is normal.
It shoud be running OK, though ... At least this is what I observe on a
mac68k machine
(I have INET6 in my sgi kernel, so I can't test, but I suppose this is the
same ...)

I'm afraid this is not the cause of your problem ...
