Ah but what do you add into the config file. I'm kind of new to sgi
hardware, so am a bit unsure as to what to add to the config file.

A good way to supplement visual inspection:

Install NetBSD and like, you know, probe some stuff.  Even a verbose
dmesg would probably help identify it.
