Hi, Hendrik,

I have this problem too, and haven't discovered the reason. I resolve
the situation by performing a power-cycle on the machine. I was
suspecting that I had some bizarre hadware problem, and sort of fell into
the routine of pushing the little "reset" button under the shutdown
button on the front.

This situation first showed up here after the SCSI changes went into
the tree on 2001/11/10.

Sorry I forgot to mention this. I have also been unable to generate
a debug kernel with the current cvs tree -- the kernel hangs before
probing. I'll see what I can do about posting more on this tonight.

Please check how the machine boots after power-cycling.

Thanks!
