Is the interrupt controller really different?  They added a few
more registers for DUART DMA and the "time control register", but
at least AN2128 (MPC8240 and MPC8245: Comparison and Compatibility)
doesn't list any other differences in the EPIC.

There won't be support for the new features, of course, but it should
run like the 8240 as long as DINK sets up the memory controller and
other configuration registers correctly.
