The evbppc major numbers are pretty much compatible with the macppc
majors (or at least they should be) so this shouldn't be an issue here.
In general, this particular sort of flag day sounds like it will be
pretty painful for any existing users of other ports. If it's just a
library it's easy to switch it around or even use /rescue to boot to
single user. That said, it doesn't look like it'll effect evbppc, so I
personally don't have a problem :-)
