hmm.. ive just spent much of the day installing different versions (did not
get to 1.6 yet, admittedly, but i have a lot of disagreement with many of
the changes in 1.6 and dont want to run it unless i really have to.. :),
from 1.4 up to 1.5.3, and can not get reliable operation of a DEFTA on a
5000/260. in 1.4.2 and 1.4.3, with modified pdq.c as suggested quite a
while ago here, i can move traffic through the cards, but as soon as i
start e.g. an outgoing ftp of a big file, it panics with 'out of the TLB
universe' or something like that.. in 1.5.2 and 1.5.3, it wont even do
that, it just prints out a few lines about a DMA error, link unavailable,
then link available.. no traffic moves... Is it a lost cause to use a
DEFTA on a '260 in netbsd? has anyone ever known that combination
to work?
