Hi Simon

Here is the cpu part of the boot message. The serial console instructions at
http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/pmax/faq.html#ds3100-console do not seem to map
to my machine at all.

As you can see, these machines do apparently have R3000 cpus in them, both
are model PM20A.

DECstation 3100 (PMAX)
total memory = 24576 KB
avail memory = 17812 KB
using 332 buffers containing 1328 KB of memory
mainbus0 (root)
cpu0 at mainbus0: MIPS R3000 CPU (0x220) Rev. 2.0 with MIPS R3010 FPC Rev.
2.0
cpu0: 64KB/48 direct-mapped Instruction cache, 64 TLB entries
cpu0: 64KB/48 direct-mapped write-through Data cache
ibus0 at mainbus0
pm0 at ibus0 addr 0xfc00000: 1024x864x1 console
dc0 at ibus0 addr 0x1c000000

At this point, the machine is unpingable, so i guess a serial console would
not do me any good?

Christopher
