That's saying that the CPU type wasn't detected.  "0x216" is (I think)
CPU processor ID is "0x2" and the revision is "0x16".  Now, 0x2
processor-ID is an "r3000" and we currently only recogise revisions 0x20
and 0x30 for that CPU.  The interesting bit is that a 3100 should only
have an R2000, not an R3000!  I'm really really not sure what is going
on there.

Can you possibly try this with a serial console instead?
