Quad serial chip... Oh, they chose another DZ alternative than a pair of 
Zilog SCC.

Regarding to Digital (ailing) history of Xterminal product line, there was a
good reading in Digital Technical Journal Vol.3 No.4 Fall 1991.  That's
very implicative they did not go RISC way facing away from the entire
X terminal market trend.
