It's a CVAX and both it and the MIPS chip can get at all the memory
space.
I did not see anything in the maint manual about clock speed.

Maybe. There's another similar arrangement in the BI DECsystem 5800
(at least my fuzzy memory says 5800 ... ). That used a KA62B CVAX
as its diagnostic processor. Saved time developing diags for the=20
BI bus etc.
