While trying to refresh a Dec 5k/150 box from a current build
circa July 29th, I found I was unable to get past building
libc. The summary is as follows, it appears that some of
the object files created are sparse (ls -l shows megabytes,
ls -s shows just a handful of blocks), and when "ar" tries
to build libc.a I run out of space. I didn't see anything
like this on vax or sparc, both also build at the same time
back at the end of July. So I don't know whether this is
just a pmax issue, or just my own issue based upon my unique
userland. Cheers, -- Ken Wellsch
