Ok.. I guess it does work. The CD I was using (which I know *used*
to work) seems to have problems. It was one of the few I have that
I know did 512 byte sectors. So, I went with the backup, a real
Sun external CD drive. Booted ok, but sysinst still seemed to have
problems. Turns out, the "tgz" sets on my ISO image CD from
ftp.iastate.edu are all corrupted for PMAX (haven't tried the other arch's),
so I downloaded the single-arch CD and it works fine.

Just looking for suggestions... I've been trying to
boot off the ISO CD image, which says its bootable
for PMAX, on a DS5000/125.. with no success.

I do (rz6 is the CDROM):

boot 3/rz6/netbsd

it seems to be reading the CD.. for a minute or two,
and then just hangs there not doing anything.

since the kernel is netbsd.pmax, I also tried:

boot 3/rz6/netbsd.pmax

and, I tried just plain old:

boot 3/rz6

all with the same results.

Suggestions?

This is the ISO image from ftp.iastate.edu
