or SBus machine.  $100-$150 for an hme card, i bought a SPARCclassic X that
came with two SAS FDDI cards for $21 and the average going rate for a SAS card 
is in the range of $15-$25 a pop.  sure, i paid a pretty penny for my 3Com
LinkBuilder, but not much more than i would have paid for a quality fast 
ethernet switch.  plus, i think FDDI rules. :)
