WSCONS has a selection between VT100 emulation and SUN console
emulation.  Your pmax WSCONS kernel (the one I made months ago I
guess) is configured as VT100 emulation (quite naturally).  So, TERM
should have vt100. Possible issues around MSB-enabled "GL characters"
are out of pmax scope.
