Simon, I still had no luck. It gave me the same error message as before. Is there anything else I can try?

Ash

Simon,

Its a 1.5 diskimage. I downloaded a bootable ISO from one of the sites mentioned in the following web site "http://www.netbsd.org/Sites/cdroms.html" and burnt a CDR. (Unfortunately i can't remember which one, Doh!) I then got the diskimage.gz off it.

Winzip did not give any error messages when it unzipped the file.

I'll try one from ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-1.5/pmax/installation/diskimage/diskimage.gz tonight.

Thanks,
Ash

This looks like a botched ELF header in the kernel on the diskimage. Is
this the 1.5 diskimage you're having problems with?

Simon.
