i found an old disk with the ucode (actually a couple of ucodes, one for
ulx4.3 one for 4.5) ...
I was able to see that there are hooks in the kernel as well as the
xserver for that firmware...
i can tar up the /sys/ dir and add the ucode and the xserver if that
helps anyone out... (sadly its not a source distribution :(...
