it was working a couple months ago with the MI drivers on my 5000/200,
however in the last few weeks trying to access the device would cause a
panic and no core dump.  (funzies in the MI scsi driver...)

unfortunately I can't get a coredump since this wedges the controller.
anybody have any ideas?  It'd be nice to run backups again.
