I had a look at the box last night.. The clock complains about losing 770 days and when timed is not being run, local time appears to be Jan 1 1998. I have replaced the Dallas chip on the motherboard  with one pulled from a dead 5k/200
but this has not as yet (within 1-2 hours)
fixed the problem..

I would, however the prom version is V5.1b, listed in your web pages as being unable to tftp.. and that's certainly how it broke for me
when trying to install on it.. The only reason
it has software on it now is that the disk came
from the aforementioned dead 5000/200, which would tftp..
I even purcahsed a second 5k/240, but it too
has the same prom version.. was anything else 
sold on 5k/240's in Oz simon! (-:
